We collect information about how you use our service, including pages visited, features used, and study session data to improve our platform.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party services that help us operate our platform (authentication, hosting, analytics)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety
• Business Transfer: In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

• Encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS)

Data Storage Location

We use different storage locations for different types of data:

• Flashcards & User Settings: Stored in Neon Database (PostgreSQL), hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The default region is EU (Frankfurt, Germany), though region configuration may vary by deployment.
• Video Files: Stored in Firebase Storage, located in the US East region.

All data is protected with industry-standard encryption and access controls.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correct: Update or correct your information
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
• Export: Download your flashcards and learning data
• Object: Opt-out of certain data processing activities

• Media Files (videos): Stored in Firebase Storage in the US East region

If you are accessing our service from outside these regions, your data may be transferred internationally. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers as required by applicable law, including:

• Industry-standard encryption during data transmission

• Compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations
• Use of trusted cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Firebase/Google Cloud)

We use these third-party services:

• Google OAuth: For secure authentication
• OpenAI API: For AI language processing (data sent to OpenAI follows their privacy policy)
• Vercel: For hosting and deployment
• Neon Database (AWS): For secure storage of flashcards and user settings (EU region by default)
• Firebase Storage (Google Cloud): For secure storage of video files (US East region)
